Is Luigi's Mansion 4 Coming Out?

Luigi’s mansion 3 is one of the best games on the Nintendo Switch. It was full of heart, was plenty of fun and it surprisingly is one of the best local co-op games available. 

It was released on Halloween of 2019 after a hiatus of 6 years and before that 12.  The hope was that after strong critical and commercial success, average review of 86 and over 11 million copies sold, next level would get to work right away on the sequel and we wouldn’t have to wait an average of almost a decade between Luigi games. 

Sadly, the next project for Next Level Games is Mario Strikers Battle League, the third entry in a loved but commercially underperforming series. 

It doesn’t help that the anticipation was high for Mario Tennis Aces and Mario Golf Super Rush, both of which lacked fun and didn’t perform commercial with between 2-3 million each, which combined isn’t as much as Luigi’s Mansion 3. 

With an average release cadence of 3 years for Next Level Games, it’s seems likely we won’t see Luigi’s Mansion 4 or even a sequel to the fantastic punch out for the Wii until 2025 at the earliest.
