Castlevania Belmont’s Curse Review
Does Belmont’s Curse feel like Castlevania or does it feel like Dead Cells? After a nineteen year hiatus since the last 2D entry and development being handled by Evil Empire, the studio that grew “Dead Cells” from two million to over ten million, including the Return to Castlevania DLC, it’s only natural to ponder what direction Belmont’s Curse went?
Belmont’s Curse is a perfect fusion of Dead Cells and Castlevania that combines classic and modern elements that feel like a natural progression for the series without straying too far from what made Castevania legendary. Everyone has their favorite Castlevania, the series has had polarizing entires and Belmont’s Curse will likely be no different. Purists might disagree with the new feeling, but those who appreciated the series revolution that Symphony of The Night was in 1997 will appreciate the revolution that Belmont’s Curse is in 2026.
